AVI50222 DIPLOMA OF AVIATION (COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE)

While holidaying in Melbourne back in 2013, I had the great opportunity to go on a ‘Trial Introductory Flight’ at Moorabbin Flying Services (MFS), this was my first interaction with the school. From the warm and friendly welcome that my two friends and I received from Barb at the front desk, followed by the amazing experience of the Trial flight and ending with a chat with one of the flight instructors, my passion to pursue my life’s ambition to be a pilot was reignited that day. I left my country the following year to commence my flight training as a fulltime student with MFS. My time at MFS was an enjoyable and very positive experience. They assisted me in overcoming the challenges I faced as an International student, they structured a suitable training program to keep me progressing and to achieve the standards required. The support I experienced from everyone at MFS, the management, the administrative staff and all the flight instructors is what stands out the most for me. They always found the time to celebrate with me every milestone I achieved and were there to set me straight with the right advice and words of encouragement when times got tough during my training. In particular, I’d like to thank Andrew and Maddy Johnson, Gary Smyth, Mark Darragh, Barb Zanier, Immanuel Bonecker and Chris Surace, their professionalism and genuine dedication to helping me finally achieve my Commercial Pilot Licence was outstanding. All that I have learned at MFS and all the tools given to me throughout my training will without a doubt, help me overcome the challenges I face as my journey in aviation continues in Papua New Guinea. - Sylvia Cyprian
