COVID-19 Stage 4 Restrictions
- The Victorian government has severely limited the types of flying that may be conducted in Stage 4 under the Restricted Activity & Workplace Directions that came into effect in metropolitan Melbourne on 5 August 2020.
- Training flights and other mandatory assessments are permitted for those students enrolled in a VET in Schools Aviation program as part of their VCE or VCAL.
- Professional flight training can continue if it is necessary for the operations of a permitted workplace. For example, flight training required for permitted workers to meet CASA regulatory requirements.
- Flights required for maintenance of aircraft are permitted. For example, a test flight after a major service or a flight to meet a manufacturer's anti-corrosion requirements.
- Private flight training and recreational flights are not permitted under Stage 4.
- MFS operates in one of the most safety regulated industries in Australia. The safety of our staff, students, and the broader community are paramount and guides everything we do.
