CADETSHIP PROGRAMS

SKIPPERS CADETSHIP.

Cadetship Program for Skippers Aviation based in Western Australia.

Course details:

  • 20–22 month course.
  • PPL, MECPL, MECIR, MCC, ATPLs, Dash 8 or Brasilia Type Rating.
  • AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane) and AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating)
  • 18 month employment (subject to successful completion).
  • Full remuneration during the contract period as per the Air Pilots Award.
  • This course combines both classroom based ground theory and practical flight training.
  • ATPL (4 ground theory subjects taught and we recommend students self-study the remaining 3 subjects).
  • Applications for 2019 January intake are being accepted now. 
  • Aviation experience is not required for this program. 
  • Does not attract Government financial assistance such as VET Student loan/HECS.

SHARP CADETSHIP.

Now in its 20th year, MFS together with Sharp Airlines offer the most complete hands-on Cadetship program in Australia. The highly professional instructing team ensure that MFS cadets receive the highest level of training, mentoring and pastoral care at all times during their training.

Course details:

  • 18–20 month course.
  • PPL, MECPL, MECIR, MCC, ATPLs, Metroliner endorsement.
  • AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane) and AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating)
  • 9 month contract as a First Officer (subject to successful completion).
  • Full remuneration during the contract period as per the Air Pilots Award.
  • This course combines both classroom based ground theory and practical flight training.
  • ATPL (4 ground theory subjects taught and we recommend students self-study the remaining 3 subjects).
  • Involvement in a number of industry relevant activities that include time spent at Sharp Airlines in Tasmania or Victoria.
  • Does not attract Government financial assistance such as VET Student loan/HECS.

Further details:

  • Available to Australian Citizens or applicants that have PR (Permeant Residency) only.
  • Interviews for entry into the 2019 cadetship program commenced in July 2018. Please send your resume now.
  • Additional training provided: Dangerous Goods, DAMP (drug and alcohol education) program, First Aid training.

Entry requirements:

  • Education: Year 12 or higher.
  • Selected applicants will need to attend a face-to-face interview at the MFS office in Melbourne.
  • At the commencement of the cadetship students will need to obtain their ARN (Aviation Reference Number), Class 1 CASA Medical Certificate and ASIC (Aviation Security Identity Card).
